How does a man Know more about womens fashion than her?

Think its weird that men own makeup companies and design women's clothes. If they want to design clothes for themselves i dont care but why women? Are there any clothing lines for gay men, cross-dressers, trannies, then why do they design for straight women? Don't women need the jobs?
